Privacy Policy

Trinidad Visitor Guide · Last updated: July 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Trinidad Visitor Guide app ("the app," "we," "us") handles information. We built this app to help visitors explore Trinidad, Colorado. We respect your privacy and collect as little information as possible.

Information we do not collect

The app does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to browse and use it. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise device location. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell any data.

Information we do collect

We collect a small amount of anonymous, non-personal usage information to understand how many people use the app and keep it running well:

Location

The app does not request or use your device's GPS or precise location. When you tap an address or a "See Google reviews" link, the app opens your device's own maps application (such as Google Maps), which is a separate app governed by its own privacy policy.

Third-party services

The app relies on a few third-party services to function: a content database (Supabase) that stores the listing information shown in the app, and a public weather service (Open-Meteo) for current conditions. When you follow a link to view a place or its reviews, Google Maps opens and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not control these third-party services and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Administrator access

The app includes a private administrator area used only by the app's owner to update listings. It requires a separate email-and-password sign-in that is not available to, or shown to, regular users. Regular visitors never sign in and are never asked for credentials.

Children's privacy

The app is a general-audience travel guide and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data retention and security

Because we do not collect personal information from users, there is no personal user data for us to retain or delete. The anonymous usage counts described above contain no personal identifiers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
